Many people have no knowledge of how a PC works. Fewer are those people who have any idea of how the sound in their computer works. But, anyone can tell the difference between a low quality mediocre sound and the high quality volume emitting from their speakers. A good quality speaker can take the listening experience to another level. The two main requirements for quality sound coming from a computers speaker are sound card and computer speaker. Sound cards are comparatively easy to find as they are available with all the computer dealers.
But one should not try to install the card themselves, as opening the cases can negate the warranty of the system. The second pert is the availability of quality speakers. Almost all speakers come in Plug and Play versions and you can get quality sound the moment they are installed. Manufacturers have provided the buyer with the options to plug in from two to eight speakers to a computer. But, having more speakers lead to more wires sneaking out from under the computer tables or hanging on the walls. But this problem has led to the production of wireless PC speakers.
Any computer comes attached with a lot of cables. Having wireless PC speakers prevents the user from adding more wires to the system and also increases the efficiency of the system. Another very important advantage of wireless speakers is that they can be placed in any corner of the room. Now one does not have to worry on the length of the wires which can restrict the portability, look and more importantly the sound of the speakers. The wireless speakers come with built in transmitters and receivers. The transmitters range can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Usually, their range comes between 40 ft to 300 ft.
When a computers sound card produces any sound, the transmitter encodes the sound signals into analog signals (like FM) and sends them to the speakers receivers. The receivers decode the signal and convert them again to sound signal and sound is emitted from the speakers. Having the range advantage can allow the user to put the speakers anywhere in his/her room. Many manufacturers provide the additional advantage in the speakers with which they can receive signals even through barriers. This provides the user to put his/her speakers in any room (provided it is within the range) and quality sound can be available there.
A user can select the wireless PC speakers on the basis of how many satellite speakers he/she desires. If he/she is buying a 7.1 wireless speaker, then it means that the user is getting a central speaker, a sub woofer (for providing quality bass control) and six satellite wireless speakers which can be put anywhere in the range specified on the transmitter. There are also 5.1 wireless speakers which include four satellite speakers in addition to a sub woofer and a central speaker. Many users who desire a simple and basic system can buy 2.1 wireless PC speakers which come with a central speaker and two satellite speakers.
